Seven members of the Historical Society for Twentieth-Century China attended the bi-annual Modern Chinese Social History Conference in Taiyuan from July 26-29. In attendance were Tim Weston, HSTCC President; Cong Xiaoping; HSTCC Vice-President; Margherita Zanasi, Editor of Twentieth-Century China; Shellen Wu; Edward McCord; Nagatomi Hirayama; and Wang Yi. The conference was a great success and we are hopeful that HSTCC will continue to cooperate with the Chinese Modern Social History Association going forward.
